Growing Up

At twelve years old, I picked up the guitar and fell in love. Later, at The University of North Texas and Massachusetts, I studied with some of the best music teachers available. Expanding my musical knowledge, becoming one with my instrument, and connecting with my audience have been my goals throughout my career.

Experience

With over 20 years of experience, I’ve played venues all over the East Coast and New York. I’ve been fortunate to work with some of the best musicians living in New York City. As a part of New York's Jazz scene, I play a variety of styles— from Bebop and Soul Jazz of the 60's to Modern Jazz of today.

Sharing My Musical Journey

Having come out of the pandemic alive and inspired, it is now more important than ever to help bring music back to the social forefront. Music is not about listening on your cellphone to Spotify nor paying $500 a ticket to see Taylor Swift at MetLife Stadium. It's about a shared interaction between the musicians and their audience that celebrates the present moment!

Music is for Everyone

Music is part of socializing, so talking and laughing between friends is all part of the music experience. If I needed the audience to be quiet with their hands folded, I would have joined an orchestra.

In order to play interesting exciting improvised music you've got to be aware of your surroundings. Song selection, creating the right mood, and playing the right notes all go into creating a special performance.

I love what I do. I play music to have fun and I hope that it comes across with each performance. It's all about everyone having a good time! I'm always seeking new venues where I can help shape the atmosphere and bring in music lovers from around the city. I'm available to hear the ideas of musical curators and event planners and figure out how I can enhance their venue.
